I am an avid music listener. It really is necessary for my practice. I make playlists, all the time, for many occasion and moods. It brings me so much joy and these are activities I have been on since the iPod, though I remember listening to CDs by my own volition, often before my iPod. Long story short, Spotify is a close friend and one of the amazing things I love about technology. Though I am slowly transitioning back to more traditional methods of music listening, I wanted to share some playlists and house them somewhere outside of Spotify. Short description and song list for each playlist. Truly a libra lover girl, its only right I start with ten love playlists.
1. “Love Is Blind”
Not sure why she named it that, but this is a playlist my mom made! I think I told her to make it. Anyways, it’s a great one. Soft, classic, simple. I get my pretty eclectic music taste from my mom, so there’s a little bit of everything, but classic R&B/ Soul heavy. Some singer/songwriter, country.
2. “Now We’re Inside”
It’s exactly what it sounds like. A love playlist that gets a little physical. I am going to keep it cute and just tell ya to listen! Tell me what ya think. Classic, alt, contemporary R&B.
3. “DEEP innit”
Double entendre? Made this the name in the sound of a Brit. Like, “isn’t it?” But also, your feelings being IN IT. I was really trying to capture the depth of love in this playlist. Like the feeeels. Alt R&B, lil jazz, soul.
4. “Get Em”
Next, we have the chase! The confidence. Going after what you want. Let’s get this party started. I’m looking at you.
5. “I love love and feel powerful that I do.”
So I been making affirmation playlists for a little while now. Now, there’s some magic. That much energy towards some words that you need, believe in, inspire you can really do wonders. I will be sharing more now as I share these playlists, but I made this one while feeling in love.
6. “indie sexy time”
Had to do some exploring. As you can probably see by now, if you’ve made it here…R&B is my lane. Definitely what I connect to and listen to the most, though I’ve been really leaning into jazz for awhile now as well. R&B is just what I grew up on, what I know, what feels safe. Either way, I do need time away pretty often, but did not have nearly enough genre exploration here to really get into making a playlist. Beauty of streaming…search one up! Found this one and have vibed to it a few times. I actually love it as cooking music.
7. “Lover, girl”
An all-women playlist. Real soft and sweet. Seductive and classic.
8. “I Got You”
This one speaks to the loyalty many seek in love. Short and sweet. Making yourself available for the ones you love. Dependable.
9. “On Our Way Down”
Ooo, forgot about this oneeee. This one is smooth. A foreplaylist.😉
10. “PLTMP Vol.8: Love Story”
Last but not least, we have another affirmation playlist! An acronym😌 It’s so funny because I was not expecting to make it this far with these playlists and now I feel like I have a problem. This isn’t even all of them. *shrugs* either way, hope you can check some of em out and tell me what you think. Not only an affirmation playlist, but one of my first “story playlists.” The intention is for these to read like a story, and thus played in order. This one is the story of a lesson having to be learned in love and the process of building yourself back up to go through the process all over again, until you find your person.🥹 I hope you love it.
Sharing and listening to music is most certainly my love language. Let’s be friends if it’s yours too.🙂↕️ Until next time.
